It has started...head coaching jobs opening...would be catastrophic if Luke left now or Monken to lead Southern Miss. UGA cannot take another big hit....IMO.

I think it is relevant that Jay Hopson made $500,000 year, among the lowest salaries for Conference USA. I can't really see how Monken or Luke would be willing to take a substantial pay cut to go to a lesser program that hasn't had recent success and is looking at a rather bleak financial future, especially at this point in the respective seasons.

@UGA66 I don't think the Newman departure was that big but losing one of those 2 would be catastrophic. UGA will be fine and I don't have massive hopes for the season but I'm still giddy to see it play out.

Kirby knew when he hired Monken that his tenure would be short and most likely real short, that is why I believe he brought Buster Faulkner on staff. Faulkner is an air raid guru himself. If and when Monken leaves, Faulkner will assume OC and QB coach in my opinion.

Bring in the Brinks truck if they have to. We need Monken and Luke to stay through the season.

Connor - Hush your mouth! We need to keep this staff intact at least two years to win the big one.

always a risk when you hire former head coaches. They grow accustomed to calling the shots. If they do well they live like kings. Most young aspiring head coaches will take about anything to be a head coach(Bobo).
