10 best cocktails for your home tailgate
Tailgating won't be the same for the 2020 college football season. But that doesn't mean we can't still enjoy a cocktail and have a good time. As you're crafting the menu for your backyard tailgate this season, don't forget the adult beverages. It'd be easy to go for a 12-pack of your favorite beer and perhaps some

Now this is an article with the power to unite. I'd suggest adding some jalapeno-infused simple syrup to that Moscow Mule for a little kick.
Arguably the greatest article ever written on DawgNation.....other than anything written by Bill King. Go Dawgs!!!
Please add Cuba Libre to your list because rum and coke was very popular in the 60’s. Maybe your next article can be about ways folks successfully snuck booze through security. In the 60’s I had an AM/FM radio (you youngsters will have to research this) that held a pint of booze. The battery section held a funnel and shot glass (I don’t think I ever used a shot glass, but it was impressive). I simply poured the spirits through the antenna. This was great and worked every game. One last note, I agree with Jack and Coke being #1, but in the 60’s we drank much cheaper bourbon. Of course it didn’t matter after a pint or two. Go Dawgs!!!
Nick, enjoyed the read but had a few misses:
1) Bloody Mary's and Mimosas- These should be on there for anything that kicks off before 3pm
2) Tailgate cocktails should max at 3 ingredients. The more you drink the less you want to be a mixologist. And nothing shaken or muddled.
3) No frozen cocktails. We live in Georgia and they'll melt before you can finish a pitcher. Rocks only
4) Bourbon on the rocks is an absolute go to at any tailgate.
5) Bulleitt and Blenheims is also a great tailgate cocktail. See points 2&3 for reasons.
Swap cachasa (Brazilian cane rum; Leblon, for a brand) for the rum on the mojito and have a caiparinha. I substitute Diet Sprite or Diet 7Up for the tonic or club soda. Go Dawgs!
