The night Brock Vandagriff took on Gunner Stockton on ESPNU
5-star Georgia commitment Brock Vandagriff took on 5-star South Carolina commit Gunner Stockton on Friday night on ESPNU. It was, as they say, as advertised. What did DawgNation recruiting reporter Jeff Sentell make of it all?

This HS game was more enjoyable than any of the college games I watched Saturday! Exciting game featuring two great competitors. Both will light it up at the next level, no doubt.
GO DAWGS!
“I’m really shocked how many times they ran Gunner,” Greg Vandagriff said. “That’s one of the reasons why I became an offensive coordinator. I didn’t want somebody to run my son 22 times.”
CLASSIC DIG at Stockton's dad and coach! I hope Stockton has some tread left on the tires when he makes it to the SEC. My money is on UGA if these two ever square off again at the next level.
Go Dawgs, Go Vandagriff!
Vandagriff made a few mistakes trying to make plays, but I couldn’t be happier that he’s UGA bound. PAC was overmatched as a team and they still almost pulled off the upset. No doubt Stockton is a great athlete, but he’s very lucky he didn’t get ejected for two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. If ESPN hadn’t been there he probably would have. I know he’s young, but he needs to grow up. Vandagriff is only a year older, but he comports himself like a grown man.
I really enjoyed the game, PAC was over matched, but kept fighting. Both Qbs will be great on the next level.
