Let’s see if the coach can learn from his mistake.

There are a few more thing to consider.

    1) Fields was a true freshman. Starting him would've been a gamble.

JT Daniels isn't a freshman. Daniels is in the SAME CLASS as Fields (who is going to get drafted this year). It's not like we're talking about Vandagriff being the starter next year (that's for later).

    2) Fields played in 12 games in 2018 and had 39 attempts and 4 TDs.

So far, Daniels has had ZERO snaps as we're reaching the halfway point of the season. Our 3 wins have had 20+ victories and we got beat badly by Bama and not a single snap, not even to close the game.

    3) Fromm had the potential (and still does) to be an NFL starter. He was drafted very close to where Eason was and brought us to the NC game the previous year.

Bennett is great. We love Bennett and respect him and just want to give him a big high five. But, he has no NFL career ahead of him whether he accepts it or not. He is at his ceiling now and there's little he can do against the Big 3 (Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State).

... I'm sorry, but Daniels needs a shot as a starter. Give him a half at least against Kentucky. If Daniels doesn't play, then don't expect to get any more QB transfers as both high profile ones will be gone with 0 snaps.

Daniels needs a qualifier.....a game to gain some solid measurables. It is like he is being talked about but hidden somewhere between the hedges. He is improving and working hard.....Kirby Smart....looped tape responses. How fit is Daniels, really? Saving him for a rainy day? There was plenty of metaphorical rain with Bama? My younger brother, a football star RB in his day, said Bennett will never be a great QB for UGA. He cannot handle the elite teams....so far. Brother also quipped UGA was beaten as a team by Bama and the coaching seemed to be lacking to him. He said if UGA cannot improve a whole lot...forget the natty talk. Well, little brother, we'll see. I will reserve that kind of judgement until after KY and on into the season. I have faith in my Dawgs!!

If we don't see JT with some decent amount of playing time by the Florida game then I would say we all have our answer to the Bennett-Daniels question. Whether the answer is the correct one we will know soon enough and certainly by the end of the season.

The whole QB situation probably gets muddier next year when you have 5-star Vandergriff coming in competing with 5-star Beck, Daniels, and possibly Bennett again. It could end up as a very messy situation unless someone steps up and just ends up obviously winning the job on the field. Of course, that's why we pay Kirby and his staff the big bucks...to make the RIGHT decision.

You raise some good points, but Fromm is nowhere close to being a starter. He's 3rd string right now on the Bills and multiple Bills reporters reported that if they hadn't have used a draft pick on him he wouldn't have made the team--Davis Webb outplayed him...Fromm is far more limited than a lot of us realized. So far his NFL experience has mirrored that.

(Eason was drafted ahead of Fromm and in a spot where it's very unlikely he will start himself. Fromm is much more likely to be out of the league than starting an NFL game right now. )

My money is on that Daniels starts against Kentucky if he is physically ready. Any takers? The biggest game left is Florida, then hopefully an SEC Championship game. Got to find out this week before Florida. If he plays well, moves the chains, then he gets the start at Florida. If he is the best we got this year, got to get him ready by playing him.
