"Smart said quarterback Stetson Bennett had some good practices this week, but he still made mistakes, and the head coach indicated that can’t keep happening.

“He’s got to be smarter with the ball, at the end of the day, you can’t turn the ball over physically, meaning, from him fumbling it, and then also from decisions you make of where you throw it,” Smart said on his coaches shown on Thursday night."

Is Smart setting us up for a loss??? He had little to say positive about Bennett...fumbles and poor pass destination decision-making. Fromm was a good decision-maker at least. Before the FL game Smart downplays UGA again. Young offense, learning and growing...I want to be his press agent. Got my Journalism degree at UGA. You won't likely hear woes from Mullen. Kirby is furtive. He projects little. Who knows which UGA team shows up tomorrow? UGA can win...despite the negative talk. Yes, they can! GO DAWGS!!!

The answer is yes. I have never heard CKS speak this way about our QB. How in the world Stetson is our best option is borderline criminal. We were only able to put up 14 against Kentucky!!!!!! We will need to score 30 to beat Florida! I am over it.

10th in Red Zone TDs, 11th in Red Zone efficiency, in the middle of the pack in 3rd down efficiency, and Bennett has the worst completion % in the entire SEC!!

SO, we've obviously got a LOT of work to do on offense...but we can still beat them GATORS!

    GO DAWGS!!

Totally NOT something you would expect to hear from Kirby. Is he downplaying his qb, to deceive the lizards, and he's actually doing better than Kirby is leading? Or is he genuinely struggling and another qb will play? Wouldn't it be better to SB he was improving and is going to be the starter, and let Mullen guess what will happen? I think KS is a great defensive mind. But I am beginning to doubt his abilities as a HEAD coach. Fake punts and field goals at inopportune times, going for it on 4th down on your own side of the field, playing qb's who have better talent behind them, needing experience? Those are rookie HC mistakes. KS is no longer a rookie. But he doesn't seem to be gaining anything from his years of experience. And as long as Saban is still coaching in the SEC, KS is probably not going to get much in the way of coaching guidance, form the master. Kirby needs to stop relying on instinct and start listening to logic.

Is Kirby drawing a line in the sand? The comments above are the most candid remarks Kirby has made about Bennett. If Bennett struggles Saturday, Kirby will make a change. I'm not sure how much better Mathis would be, but he seems to be the next man up. Fans have been totally frustrated this year that all the playing time went to Bennett, and many have blamed Kirby for that. I was one of them, but I think the bottom line is Daniel is not ready to play. This has left Kirby with two options Bennett or Mathis. I suspect Bennett has been the choice at QB because of his knowledge of the system and not his physical skills. This is the same evaluation that occurred between Fromm and Fields. Maybe Smart has learned from that experience after letting the more skilled player get away.

I am not optimistic about tomorrow, but I hope I am wrong.
