At least would like to see the nr of transfers per person be limited to one during their term of eligibility

Sounds like Gilbert has left LSU.

Does Kirby have to wait until he officially enters the transfer portal to make contact?

"Smart recognized that the public will favor immediate eligibility"

No they don't. Not all of us. I can see the bigger picture here, and I think liberal transfers is horrible for college football. Which will ultimately be horrible for the players as well.

I also think it's horrible for developing men for society. But that's another story.

"what the SEC is going to do with regards to transfers between SEC member institutions, such as Mays and possibly Gilbert."

Didn't Mays play this season? If so, it appears the answer has already been given.

That above stat on Eric Stokes is impressive.

"But he (Smart) seemed to make it clear he wasn’t all that thrilled about rushing into opening the (in-conference)transfer floodgates. Even if that means a player as talented as Gilbert would have to sit out a year if he happened to choose Georgia."

I am glad we have one outstanding transfer from out of conference helming our offense...JT Daniels. In conference seems to be same year as well...Cade Mays. SEC makes those determinations.

If Gilbert enters the portal you can pretty much rule out any SEC teams. Seeing as how they're only a few hours away, sounds like Clemson is about to get a new TE, unless he just says eff it and goes to tech.
