Detroit: Where NFL dreams go to die. They wasted Barry Sanders! Barry Freaking Sanders! I would rather be drafted in a later round than be drafted to Detroit.

He deserves a shot to play for a team with shot at the playoffs. At least he made wheelbarrow loads of cash.

Now it's time for Swift to get away from that poorly run organization.

Stafford and his wife gave a lot to Detroit, on and off the field. However, he deserves better! If Detroit wants to move on are you sure they would not consider a 2nd or a 2nd and 3rd......if not, what are they going to do cut him and get nothing? I think teams have more the better bargaining chip as Shefty reported they both agree to split.

Best of luck Matthew, hopefully you get to spend your remaining time playing on real team, that knows how to win. Detroit has never shown that, even with Barry Sanders and other great players. Detroit's loss..

They couldn't even be competitive with a HOF player at RB named Barry Sanders. I agree, Swift is stuck on a losing team, in a losing city, he deserves better, all Lions players do.

Joining a practice squad for a real nfl team would also be a step above being drafted by detroit

Good Luck Matt. You deserve better than the Lions. Hopefully, your next team will be better.

The 2007 Stafford UGA was a pretty good one.

Big arm! Too many interceptions! Not even close to elite! About 2 levels below Philip Rivers!
