    Exactly so.

    Go, Dawgs!

To be fair, the o-line was learning a new offense as well, while replacing their right tackle and left tackle that had been in those positions for three straight years. And... And this is a BIG and... They had a new QB. Not just one - but three. All with different cadence, all with different tendencies.

And the shake up for the bowl, which I'm actually fine with, did not help. Especially in a game (and I don't care what anyone says) that Georgia was not excited to play in. (And they won that on the line of scrimmage - at the end of the day). Don't believe me - ask Cincinnati's coach - who is on record with that comment.

Point being - you are correct. Games are won and loss in the trenches. But I expect this group to take a big leap forward. And watch out for Mimms. He is a prototype left tackle and has the skills to eventually win that job during the season.

Yep, Football is TRULY a team sport. It's not like BB where one superstar can take an average team all the way. A QB without a quality receiver can't do squat and if he isn't protected, there's no way he can make quality passes. Next season should hopefully be very interesting.

Agreed Connor. We've got every single piece of a Championship Offense coming in 2021. We may get torched in the secondary on occasion by another team or fail to get an adequate and effective pass rush on an opposing offense, but we will have NO excuses when it comes to dominating the offensive line of scrimmage, scoring, and driving on opponents in 2021. The O line is where it all starts, and we've got better talent than any other team we will face next season - including Clemson. Development and coaching will be very important and will either show we have the right coaches and staff on board or not. I'm expecting great things in 2021 despite Smart trying to downplay the hype.

8 yards rushing against Miss. St????? Enough said. Quit making excuses for those top of the line players.

We've gotten great recruits. Now, it's up to the coaching staff. The fact that we did as well as we did in this year of quarantine, masks, social distancing and game cancelling says a lot about our coaches. I hope that 2021 is our year. Go Dawgs!!!

This is Matt Luke's chance to shine. No excuses. UGA has the guns to get it done. Dominate!

Tampa Bay's defense showed everyone how to stop Superman AKA Patrick Mahomes playing QB last night. To put constant pressure on that type of QB all game long. Mahomes looked average last night. The defense of Tampa Bay should have been named the MVP. Brady had a good game, but Tampa Bay's defense had a great game. Who would have thought they would keep Mahomes out of the end zone?

As far as the Chiefs defense they looked bad against Tampa's Offense, but I would have liked to have seen Tampa Bay's defense against a healthy Chiefs offensive line, even Mahomes was hampered with turf toe, which he wasn't going to get well from during the season, but that is the way of the game, you need more than the best players, and coaches, you also need to stay healthy, even Georgia's D-Line played different without Jordan Davis.

Football always has and always will be a line of scrimmage game. It helps the OL when you have a QB that can make every throw on the field. Defenses respect arm strength and accuracy. It is easier for the OL when the defense doesn't know if a run or pass is coming. We didn't have that until after the Florida game last year.

Anyone think that Brady got some Saban type touch me calls for pass interference? Hard to beat the GOAT when the refs are looking out for you.

Those defenders were holding on both sides virtually every play. THen they decide to call interference even on balls that even looked uncatchable a couple of times. Nt saying Tampa didn't beat the snot out of them. They did. But they also got some generous help from the refs.

When I heard that KC has lost both their O-tackles, I knew TB was going to win. The game reminded me of GA in the Peach Bowl against Cincy with the struggles our reconstituted O-line had in that game. The saving grace for the Dawgs was they weren't playing against Brady! Plus our defense showed up and kept the game close, getting stops when they had to. Next year will be put-up or shut-up time for CML and the big Dawgs on the line of scrimmage. Not to mention we get tested right from the jump against Clem & Sons 5* defensive front. They better be putting in a lot of work to get ready this spring and summer!

Oh goodness, can we PLEASE get a bit more into the weeds. KC's tackles did not drop down the week before the super bowl. They've been out. KC played with the same replacements (more like shuffled, not technically replacements) for a while. Including the division game.

TB did this to Aaron Rodgers, too, one of the most difficult QBs to get at in league history (savvy, movement, quick ball-out, etcetera).

MAHOMES - the flavor of the month - held the **** ball too long, exacerbated by blanket + cover-2 coverage by TB. TB's defense is STOUT. They've just dismantled two of the best offenses in the NFL. Excuses are lame, and disrespectful.

The lesson here - to take a contrary view - is NOT the UGA OLine. It's the UGA DEFENSE! Watch the SB. ONE PLAYER (Vita Vea) got a center push on KC (that's not on the tackles, btw) time after time after time. Does UGA have that player (the college version)? No.

They love the giant 700 lb guy in the middle who can "**** up blocks." Great. Meanwhile the QB is running around back there finding targets. The DL has to ATTACK the line of scrimmage and penetrate into the backfield. THAT's disruption. Translate = HAVOC.

For a visualization: It's not a "wall" - it's a "spear" (or a multitude of spears, splitting gaps, getting up in their business, and disrupting the flow of the offense).

Just another view, that's all. Fun, right? Just thought, we talk about "havoc" plays - the SB is what that looks like.
