Grr! He has indicated numerous times that he "really really wanted" to join Georgia's program. He needs to be with us. Period.
Hines Ward will assuredly make their receivers unit better, no doubts. Congrats Hines !!
Why is he not Georgia's WR coach? I mean, no offense to Cortez Hankton; but he's drastically underperformed with the level of talent he's had to work with.
I can't believe Kirby wouldn't find a roll for Hines to play on his staff, he would make the whole team better with his infectious personality. What a missed opportunity.
Please let this be one step closer to coming back to Athens.
Would love to see all the legendary DGD Dawgs coaching in Athens! That would be pretty dang cool! Hines is just getting a little practice in before coming here, I bet.
GO DAWGS!
Hopefully this experience he is getting will soon have him back in Athens. Good luck, Hines, and Go Dawgs!!
Why doesn't Kirby hire Hines Ward for the UGA coaching staff???
@Dvilledawg-That’s my thinking also. Let him get some experience in the college ranks with coaching and recruiting, which is a big part of the college game, then bring him on board. I met Hines Ward in the locker room after a game one time. You couldn’t ask for for a more genuine personality to lead with these young guys. Very easy to talk to. A true class act! Go Dawgs!
Let him get his feet wet somewhere else, build relationships in south Florida and then call him home in a couple years.
I like everyone else would just love to see Hines on the UGA sidelines coaching. The problem is, at least this year, there is no vacancies. He wants to be coaching and not an off field hire. So let's chill and when the time is right, get him back on campus where he belongs!
