Temp slump...UGA will come roaring back. They are a very good team.
Let's be honest, this isn't a good baseball team. They're proving it on the field. And no, it doesn't matter that they play some close games. The bottom line is that they are LOSING those games. We don't just happen to be 12-16 in conference play. That's who we are. As for contract extensions, I don't know about that. I'm giving our new AD a little leeway because he is new. He probably doesn't think it would be a good look for him to step in to the job and start firing people left and right. So a little patience is in order. Football season will be here (relatively) soon and hopefully, that will improve our outlook. Go Dawgs!
This team this year just doesn't have the pitching nor the timely hitting needed to make the NCAA tourney. Disappointed is an understatement and another UGA team that doesn't meet expectations.
Here we live in one of the top 5 most talent rich high school prospect states in this country. We cannot recruit and have not recruited enough great talent for both basketball and baseball to field year after year competitive teams to make their respective NCAA tournaments.... Boggles ones mind year after year.
Basketball needs a brand new start with a young coach that is given everything he needs to win and win big. Baseball should be ranked every year in the top 20 and reach the NCAA tourney every 4 outta 5 years with the amount of talent in metro Atlanta.
