    In a 12-team playoff field, winning the SEC Championship will no longer be a required prerequisite. In fact, 3-loss Florida and Iowa State teams would have made it into the playoffs last season if there had been 12 teams. In a 12-team playoff field, the Dawgs will be expected to make the playoffs every single year - whether or not they win an SEC Championship. That's another reason strength of schedule is important which will ultimately affect the final rankings that determine who's IN.
