I'd care more if the transfer portal wasn't there. Now it doesn't matter as much because a kid will transfer home if he doesn't like the school. Still need to recruit at an elite level but I'm not too worried about any one recruit committing.

According to excerpts stated in the article, he committed to a position coach who whispered sweet nothing's in his ear, a coach who can "possibly" put 2 WR in the NFL draft for 2 consecutive years..and"relationships" that were built on a 2 day visit. Thats borders on being comical. Transfer portal makes it easy now if you aren't happy, just transfer, no reason needed.

Not to be a downer here, but. I think we finished third with Kojo or tied for second at best. TexAM may have been his second choice. We will be OK at WR, look for a possible late flip in the process for UGA....not necessarily Kojo, but some other highly rated WR. Some big commitments coming up in the next month or so. Looking forward to Kamari Wilson's announcement "soon".....Pope's announcement too!!....whenever he makes it public.

Give the steering wheel to Monken, and then get out of the way. We finally have a talented QB, and when high school receivers see us scoring often through the air (hopefully), they will come back around come signing day. I cannot blame them for wishing to see proof that they will not be wasting their time due to us being a heavily run oriented team. Throw it & they will come.

I'm not surprised, but this stings and this stings a lot.

Let's be real here. If Gunner Stockton stayed with South Cackalackey or flipped to Auburn, Antwi was not going to either one of those places. He was never so much as a lean to UGA on any recruiting site. His decision to go the the Ohio place was made a long time ago. He made a decision and stuck with it, even in the face of all the pressures schools like UGA and Tammy can bring. End of story.

Yes, this one stings, but there are two position groups we are loaded with underclassmen and recruiting will be tough: WR and OL. Look for 2023 to pull in several numbers.

And, as BEACHDAWG pointed out - UGA was not in play for the Antwi's until Gunner committed.
