Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Bowden
Going off topic from sports here for a minute and talking religion.. So, exit on, if that's not important to you on this forum. Thought I'd share a comment that was cool to me.. I was listening to live broadcast of City Church (Tallahassee) yesterday. The sermon opened with condolences to the Bowden family and that person's personal relationship with Bobby Bowden. He said that he knows Bowden is in a better place not because Bowden was a good man, but because he knew God. He went onto say that it was Mark Richt who changed Bowden's life and introduced him to God. We all know Mark is a good man whose faith is important. Just thought this was a special tribute to Mark... maybe the best accolade of all.

Minor correction. Bowden led CMR to Christ. But it's still a great story! (See below.)
That is beautiful and moving.
I'm down on the Florida coast in the heart of Nole country and I can tell you, Coach is getting the royal send off. Amazing reading and hearing so many accolades and inspirational stories from Jack Nicklaus to Nick Saban.
Have to add one of my favorite Bowden sayings, "Don't go to the grave with a life unused."
He certainly lived that one to its fullest.
A great testimony, I was not aware of Coach Bowden s faith.
