Reports: Big Ten, ACC and Pac-12 on verge of official ‘Alliance’ announcement
The Big Ten, Pac-12 and ACC are expected to announce an alliance on Tuesday aimed at countering the SEC’s surge as the most powerful and valuable college football conference in the nation.

There is fear and then there is absolute terror. I think college football beyond the SEC is trembling right now.
Blocking the expansion of the playoff will not hurt the SEC -- it will hurt group of 5 conferences who now have practically no hope of making the playoff. Hurting those schools out of spite is just a massive jerk move, in my opinion.
12 teams is too many unless the get rid of the bowl games
Sounds like putting lipstick on a pig. Combined 41 schools trying to put together a meaningful alliance. Good luck.
There is a better than average chance that at the end of this season, 3 of the 4 playoff teams will be SEC, either presently or in the near future. I wonder how that will go down with this new confederation.
