Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

LSU Requires Proof of Vaccine

In all respect, it’s not the same this go around in my opinion. I am not a smart man so don’t listen to me. I will refrain from getting political and getting a OT, but I do feel things are slightly different this go around in various ways. For the record I straddle the fence on the vaccine. I think both parties have a good points. Either way I appreciate you and your input
An oregano version of the Eiffel Tower, huh. I'm impressed, but can you do this:
Any cow Dawgs out there will understand.
One of the best takes that I have seen about this. Seriously.
Seems to me they should require proof of vaccination and negative test since you can still get covid while being fully vaccinated (but are likely to have mild symptoms). Maybe I don't understand ot that well, but what difference does it make if the 'carrier' that walks into the stadium has been vaccinated or not? Maybe the covid isn't as contagious on a vaccinated person? Maybe someone in the medical field could answer that. We got some very smart folks on this forum. Thanks
I really hate that anybody is having to deal with this. Congratulations on the new baby. Be safe.
You’re right, but really they should be doing the same with the football team too.
Right now the rule within the SEC is that if you are vaccinated then you don’t have to be tested weekly, but really the players probably should be tested every week since they are going to be on the field with players from another state and football is a contact sport. I think that the conference can still reward those teams who are greater than 85% vaccinated by not forcing them to forfeit games in they have too many guys infected.
But I think that, especially if we are going to back to full capacity, redundancy is key.
Nothing wrong with being thorough. Especially with something this contagious.
Such skill is rare.
I wish I saw more of this sentiment. I’m 2019 old school. I still love to see a man make a decision for himself. And wish others well. This is how we climb out of the spiral. Go Dawgs.
Freedom isn't free. Responsibility only counts when it comes with consequence to guide your choices.
I personally am vaxxed and have started wearing a mask in public places again as a precaution, but I have a high risk child at home, so my decision has been made for me. That being said, when you are dealing with a highly contagious raspatory illness, standing in close quarters with strangers who will be yelling over your shoulder for hours on end, does sound like the perfect recipe to spreading said virus. I respect your choice to not protect yourself, but also understand the huge liability it could be for an academic institution to not have some sort of rules in place for protecting other people. If you see me this year, you will see me in a mask. I only ask that you respect that decision, as I will attempt to respect yours.
I can appreciate your valuing individual decision making. But where do you draw the line - going 95 mph in a school zone ? Shooting someone ? Robbing banks instead of working for a living ? Individual drawing of lines has potential problems, no ?
I draw the line somewhere between proof of vaccination and your over-sensationalized examples.
Congratulations 🎊🎉
