If it happens, think it would rank right after OU. Should it be a double digit win, then I would think it would be Kirby’s best win. Unfortunately if it is not a win, then it only adds to the narrative of not being able to win the biggest games.

I don't think this win will surpass the one at South Bend under the lights with a sea of UGA Red in the seats. The whole football nation saw that UGA was back among the top programs, we were coming off an 8-5 season and some were wondering (I plead guilty) if the right decision had been made in firing a very good coach. That is a big reason we got into the playoffs that year.

This game may not be as big as the Rose Bowl or the ND game at South Bend, but a win against them would put Dabo and Clempsun on notice: UGA football is back, and the easy days of them recruiting the best players from this state are over!

Tennessee has learned that lesson all too well as their performance is completely related to how poorly they now recruit the state of Georgia.

ND was not a very good football team that year. Of course beating ND, you are beating the name more than the team. ND year after year is one of the most overrated team in college football. Kirby has made the playoffs once and has won playoff game. He has yet to beat a team who has recently won a national championship. Beating Clemson would be more of a statement win than ND. It would also demonstrate UGA can win the big games.

As far as recruiting goes it might be difficult for Tennessee but it seems to have had little impact on Clemson, OSU and Alabama. They seem to be able to continue to sign the players they really are all in on.

If we are only talking regular season games then a Clemson win here would far and away be Kirby's BIGGEST regular season win to date. If you look at the hype and expectations for the Dawgs this year, it's simply off-the-charts-crazy, and beating Clemson in the first game would be a signature win!

And if we beat Clemson then we may have a small window of opportunity to make the playoffs even if we lose the SEC Championship game (as long as we run the table for the rest of the regular season). It will depend on how the season plays out for Clemson and the other top playoff contenders.

As an aside, the talk on the street says the CFP 12-team expansion is being put on the back burner right now until a later date. In fact, as of today the discussion is dead, and the expansion wouldn't even get passed by those who vote and are in charge of its consideration. Too much volatility in the college football conference landscape right now. Maybe it gets revived later but the discussion won't be happening anytime in the near future.

It depends.......If Clemson was to finish the season 12-1 and go to the playoffs then the win would mean a lot......If Clemson were to have a down year and lose several more games or if the Dawgs lose a couple and are out of it in the end......It would not mean as much

Also, this is a double edged sword. If Kirby loses this game something like 35-7...or something like that...the entire season would change

THIS CLEMSON GAME IS A MUST WIN CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS DONT LOOSE CLOSE GAMES AND ACCEPT MORAL VICTORIES!!!! Last but not least if we can’t throw the ball this year blue chip wideouts are done with us we might as well recruit 3 good backs and run the wishbone. Get it done or accept the fact that we are the Michigan Wolverines of the sec!!!!

We must beat Clemson. We must beat everybody. Clemson and Alabama have unbeaten seasons, and now it's our time. We've got the players and the coaches and the fan base. Let's do it! Go Dawgs!!!
