Not my biggest key, but the thing I most want to see: Arian Smith outrunning 4.4 CBs for two TDs. This is him at 4 seconds in the SEC men’s 100m final. These are some of the fastest men in the world, and the 4th guy from Arian wins it with a 9.8, the exact same time as the winner of the Olympics. Arian is on the left.
Was it 2019 that we did a lot of uptempo playcalling? I think it was the ND game where they started faking injuries to slow us down. Didn't Texas A&M do this too?
If we can keep it uptempo and throw them off that way, I think that really helps!
I think it's fair to say all of us who posted getting pressure on The Clemson QB as key got it right. Some luck and maybe a bit of judgment, I'll take it.
Also, good gracious our defensive front 7 played a game for the ages...WOW !
As always, GO DAWGS !
DAWGS WIN!!!
Absolutely, wow 7 sacks!!!
BillyDawg1: CONGRATULATIONS, your analysis was spot on! 7 sacks will work on a QB’s confidence. That was they key to the victory. Best defensive effort I have seen by UGA since the Erk Russell era. GO DAWGS!
I think when you look at our defensive staff and defensive players together this team has a good chance to have the best defense in program history. We saw the elite front 7 players begin to realize their vast collective potential tonight.
This unit definitaly has the potential to be the top defensive unit in the country this year and the best in team history. Once we get our receivers and O-line completely healthy...may God have mercy on the souls of those we play, except the Mullinites...we all know where they can go.
One thing that puzzled me all Offseason was how everyone and their Uncle was saying that the Offense was gonna have to lead this team but as u can see, nothing could b further from the truth. For sure, once JT has his full compliment of skill players and the O Line jells, Georgia is gonna have a very potent Offense but if Georgia is gonna still b playing ball in game 15, the Defense will be driving the bus. GUARANTEED!!!
Junk YArd Defense
well, I was wrong. Each offense scored 3 points ad UGA still managed to win
Maybe somebody said that, but I think it was a little different. What I said was that we should have a great D. The thing we lack, if we want to beat Bama, is offense. Still true. Defense wins championships; offense wins championships. We need both.
Georgia will definitely have to be on their A game in all 3 phases of the game to beat Alabama in December or in game 15 and preferably both so noone has a tougher road than Georgia. Good thing is, even with a loss in December to presumably 'Bama (Which is quite plausible), a 12-1 Georgia team will probably get another crack at 'Bama in game 15 if they take care of business against Ohio State or Oklahoma in the Semifinals.
Oklahoma looked suspect on Saturday though didn't they?
