Consensus UGA #2...even with what they perceive as a less than stellar offense. The D is making the headlines and earned UGA #2. Holding Clemson to 3 points has captivated the polls keepers. But, as CKS declared, the leap from first to second week is a big one. UAB ordinarily should be no threat. If UGA performs as I believe they will, UAB will be no threat.

    GO DAWGS!!!

Go Dawgs! One question, though. We've heard that adage for years about how teams (and players) make the most improvement between Game 1 and Game 2. My question is, has that been statistically proven or is it just a saying that almost everyone has adopted because it sounds good? If someone were to look at the seasons of UGA football under just CKS, does it bear out that his teams improved the most between the first game of the season and the second? I'm not a stats guy, but I would love for someone who is to take on that challenge.

I guessed we'd be 2nd, not that it's very important so early in the season.

Can't live and die by the defense only, offence needs to have the same tenacity. Take off the restrictor on offence ad keep the gas pedal floored to the end. Sic em Dawgz.😎

Notre dame too high. Cincinnati too low. North Carolina shouldn’t be ranked, looked awful! Oklahoma too high. Also looked bad. Penn state too low, they did beat a ranked team in Wisconsin which do show up and they did beat that home.

While it's just one game, that's awesome. Well done Dawgs! I think we deserve the ranking based off of the Clemson win, but like a coach on the hot seat, I'm sure the voters want to see significant improvement in the offense moving forward if we're to stay there.

Auburn is ranked 25th so it’s incorrect to state that Georgia has only one ranked opponent on their schedule. There are a couple other teams that could be ranked when we play them such as Kentucky and Mizzou, so the schedule is not a cakewalk.

Wait, Kentucky still isn't ranked? And they had Miami starting at 14. Yeesh.
