Coach Smart ain't letting the cat out of the bag.

Please read this classic example in non-commitment. “JT feels much better. He’s continued to I don’t know if he’s 100 percent but he’s certainly getting closer to that, Stetson is repping, JT is repping, and Carson’s repping. Stetsons actually got some lower back issues that he strained some stuff but he’s able to go but I don’t know if he’s 100 percent.”

Yep WCH. He’s definitely playing “cat and mouse” games with Carolina. Of the three QB’s CKS mentioned who were repping, two of them have “injuries” of some sort. You can bet it’ll be either JT or Stetson trotting onto the field Saturday. The question for Carolina is which one do we prepare for. I’m good with either of the two. Both are experienced and great team leaders in their own way. Go Dawgs!

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I don't think Smart is being coy right now. What is the advantage for SC to know whether it's definintely Bennett or JT? THey're both experienced guys and neither one are true running QB's, although they can if they are made to. THey both run the same plays. Both (if reporting is accurate) are banged up a little, so in that sense if I'm CKS I'm not declaring on Monday who will start on Saturday, why would I, it will depend on how each one feels on game day. I just don't see the tatical advantage one versus the other when they are so similar in their styles of play. It's not like SC would have one personnel group for SB and another one for JT. I'll hang up an listen to an explanation.

Please don’t let this game come down to Carson! Last week he showed me just a little more than Mathis last year but not by much.

I think Carson does have skills, he just doesn't exude confidence or leadership. On the other hand Brock looks like Thor or a lumberjack as some on one sports radio talk show were calling him.I don't like the long hair thing(maybe I'm just an old fart) I didn't like it on Trevor Lawrence, especially when they are constantly flipping it out of there face or running their hands threw it( I had long hair in the 70's) but I cut it to play baseball. Last thing I'd want is someone yanking me down by it. Too much prima-donna attitude.

BEck came off to me as goofy and immature and not ready to lead. Needs more seasoning. I expect him to transfer at some point. Especially if he is relegated to scrap time, which is all he should get, at this point in time.

In reference to outright remarks and undertones otherwise regarding frustrations with CKS not being more transparent about the kids health. I’m aware we are the far better squad; but in the college football playoff era, when so called “eye tests” and margin of victory (particularly in, in-conference matchups) can be the difference in making vs not making the playoffs - it would make literally 0 sense for our coach to share information that could give our competition a preparation advantage. I mean I know we as fans WOULD PREFER to know; but after really giving this some thought… I’d be far more concerned if he WAS willy-nilly with injury updates.
