Development of Arian Smith, Broderick Jones and Jack Podlesny worth watching for Georgia football
Georgia football takes on South Carolina this weekend in Sanford Stadium.

We've had world class kickers for so long that it's shocking to see multiple misses.
Smith, Mitchell, Burton, Robinson, Rosemy-Jacksaint, Bowers, Washington. With the possible addisons of Pickens, Gilbert and most likely Blaylock.
That group needs to be developed to the max, bring in consultants if it helps, but mine their great potential with patient urgency.
I have to say, I'm surprised to see so many entertaining the possibility of seeing Pickens take the field in a Georgia uniform again. I'm not trying to be negative, I just don't see it as realistic. Seems the very end of the season might be the earliest point at which he would technically be cleared to play, but we all know what that means for an ACL.
Are people thinking he might come back next year? I could maaaybe see that. But if he's thinking of going pro after this season, it seems like he's got a lot more to lose than gain by rushing back.
I agree we probably won’t see Pickens this season and I’m also not expecting to see Gilbert. I’m curious if Arik is even registered for classes this semester which is step #1 for establishing eligibility. Go Dawgs and good luck Pickens and Gilbert.
Quick question for all you astute Dawg fans. Will Stetson Bennett be eligible for the 2022 season? I think the answer is yes because he redshirted in 2017 and played at UGA and elsewhere in 2018, 2019, 2020 and this season. I know that means he used his 4 years of eligibility over the past 5 years, but didn’t the NCAA pass a rule saying the 2020 season didn’t count against anyone’s eligibility? Go Dawgs!
The answer is "yes," @BubbaBill . Bennett will be eligible in 2022 and there is strong thought now that he will return. After all, it's highly unlikely he has a future in the NFL, there's a good chance that Beck could transfer and if that happens and JT leaves (he's eligible to return as well), then Stetson would be the most experienced QB on the roster. Plus, with NIL possibilities, he might just make a few nickels.
Also, not worried about Arian Smith. He'll be a decent receiver. Less sure if Podlesny is just going through a rough patch of if he's regressing to his mean. Remember, Zirkel was EXPECTED to win the job last year. The offensive line, who knows, man? Hard to understand how so many 4- and 5-star players can combine to be so underwhelming. Go Dawgs!
