Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Georgia football landed a commitment from 4-star tight end Oscar Delp

Coach Todd Hartley is way underpaid!!!!!
Monken has taken the offense to levels that Chaney never could have. Now, they need to get Luther Burden.
Gamecocks...Dawgs. Seriously?? Go Dawgs!
UGA has shown that they can use multiple TE's productively. And multiple TE sets. We have also seen that everyone can't be counted on to play every game. Hence the "crowded" room is really not an issue. Especially the way CKS clears the benches when UGA gets a lead. Kirby plays lots of guys. You would think that Luther Burden (Ticky?) would be seeing the same benefits (Missouri vs UGA) as Delp saw (USCe vs UGA). Path to WR1 or 2 is wide open at UGA. This fact and never hearing a peep about AGilbert leads me to believe 1) he will not play at all this year and 2) there must be some eligibility issue.
"The Gamecocks wanted Delp bad."
"Delp saw a great opportunity at South Carolina" "where his mother is also an alum"
"Even with South Carolina making it clear how badly it wanted Delp"
This one hurts, doesn't it Connor?! Why in the world would any HS player want to go to bottom dweller USC over the Dawgs? Carolina is infinitely inferior to UGA in athletics, culture, and academics (not even comparable). Even mom had to see these facts! Sadly, you will never get past your internal bias and Gamecock love.
Based on the headline, I thought the story would offer some exciting revelations about why Delp chose UGA of USC. But nothing really. Everything it stated is basically a "well, duh," sort of moment. Of course UGA is the better team, with more talented athletes at all positions. But that was ALWAYS the case and likely will be the case as long as CKS is Georgia's head coach. Delp saw that we really used our tight end. OK. Is South Carolina not using the tight end? (Even if they are, it's obviously not helping them). This story just failed to deliver. I'm glad Delp will be a Dawg but other than UGA just has a better overall program than USC, there were no real surprises here. Go Dawgs!
