Georgia football needed halftime adjustment to look like No. 1 in 30-13 win over Kentucky
ATHENS — Georgia showed up at Sanford Stadium a hard-working and accomplished group ready for another day at the office.

Mike, ****! Please. Do everyone a favor and change your vocation to something more worthy of your talents, like prison toilet cleaning.
Clearly another L for Georgia in the mind of MG.
That’s what great teams do, Mike. And note to Kentucky, you should have taken your whooping and went home. Go Dawgs!!

He's got coaches to pleasure.
I'm pretending to be speechless.
Go, Dawgs!
I saw a different team second half....that was a performance half. No UGA did not outlast KY....they BEAT them soundly. GO DAWGS!!!
Mike come on man! I usually appreciate your critical eye but you’re over doing it now. Yes the Dawgs were not super sharp the 1H but KY is a darn good team! We can’t score 21 points every opening quarter and beat every team 44-0. This was a solid win. And while I would have liked to have a better lead at halftime, the team was in control of the game.
I agree with the article. The second half adjustments did have the desired effect. I would say the first quarter was a little stale. Not the whole first half.
All and all, a good showing against a very good Kentucky team. UK will very likely go 11-1. It was a good win.
Clinging to the halftime lead? Momentum going into the half? I don't think Mr. Griffith and I were at the same game. I mean, let's nevermind the several botched calls from the officials there in Q2 (at least two holding calls from KY, and if that wasn't a fumble, then it was for sure intentional grounding), but the feel in the stands was definitely not that KY had anything like momentum moving forward, and there was ABSOLUTELY no sense that we were barely holding on.
Yes, I'd hoped that it wouldn't be so close, and it wasn't exactly comfortable, but there was a whole lot handed to KY, and we knew we were getting the ball back.
THAT said, yes, those halftime adjustments for sure made for a more dominant and... well... FUN second half, but we don't need to present the first half as wretched to appreciate how great the second was.
A 7 point lead at the half and everyone was comfortable in the stands? I was watching at home and I saw a defense that gave up a 14 play TD. I wasn't comfortable at all. 10 points maybe, 17 points yeh I'm good, but not 7. I never thought it would be that close at the half. Credit Monken for opening up the playbook in the 3rd quarter. Credit Stetson for a great 2nd half. They weren't scoring but we weren't either til the 2nd half.
"clinging" Seems to be a bit dramatic.
I believe the play calling was fine in the first half…Bennett just missed some opportunities and needed to settle down. He did in the 2nd half and looked good.
