JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It turned out not to matter who started for Georgia at quarterback on Saturday, after all.

JT isn't healthy yet there is no way.

No Mike....the QB does and did matter. Stetson...hum....he got through it. He was at the helm of this win...though the defense assisted greatly in this one. Terrible picks against Stetson. I guess JT is still unhealthy. Thought maybe he would get a series? Great win, Dawgs!!!

The QB decision does matter and IMO Mike is the only one remotely close to the UGA program who gets it. Kirby Smart is infected with the DGD disease. Heaven help any quarterback who ever comes to Athens from Cali or Washington or elsewhere. You will be second place behind any kid with a deer stand and a pinch in his cheek (See, e.g., Jake Fromm - who I love and follow on the Bills but was not the best QB to come thru Athens in his time).

Stetson Bennet is a great kid. Nobody disputes that. But JT Daniels is one of the finest QBs to come onto the scene in a decade. Want to run tape on the FL game? Want to see the missed checks at the line, missed progs, double coverage throws (a recurring theme)? Come on, COACH! Get your head our of your red/black hind quarters.

As a Michigan guy (hey, UGA law school so don't hate), it reminds me of the whole Brady fiasco at UM.

Maybe we just have to wait., for a coach who can love his school and still make cogent decisions w/o emotion.

Fact: UGA cannot beat ALA or OK (playoff top 4 game) with Stetson at QB.

But hey, big whoops for Kirby and the "good ole' boy" theme which keeps UGA from achieving what the players deserve.

Going away now and don't hate, but w/JT at QG, this is a 76-0 game.

If the Dawgs are going to win the SEC & national titles, they must have an offense that is as dominate as the defense. That is not going to happen with Bennett at the helm. How many poor decisions is it going to take before JT is back on the field? He needs to see significant time next week against Mizzou.

Many say defenses win Championships, but my question is can our offense win one??? With Stetson Bennett, the answer is absolutely not. With JT Daniels we have a better shot at it, but I'm still not sure. Can our defense continue to carry our offense week after week? No sir, not in the playoffs and maybe not in order to even win the SEC Championship.

The real offensive performance today wasn't good. We all know it. Stetson throwing 2 interceptions on poorly thrown balls. 354 yards of total offense will probably not win a Championship, 4/9 on 3rd downs will probably not win a Championship, and scoring so few offensive points as we did today won't beat Bama or win a Championship. We still haven't had to play from behind, and Jones picked us apart on the final drive that scored the only FL TD. Bama has the ability to do the same thing on drive after drive, so we're going to need to crank up our high flying offense.

Great defensive performance as usual, but we have got to get our offense moving much more efficiently.

I guess Dan Mullen can still say that he was not out coached because their offense gained 1 more yard than we did.😁

QB play IS NOT meaningless! If JT isn't running the offense we're not winning a playoff game much less the SECCG!

Absolutely agree. From Arkansas to this game, UGA's offense has looked worse each week, but also scored less each week. 7 points today was from the defense. And if White didn't break that last td run, UGA would also have rushed for less each week. This offense doesn't have to score 45 points,it would be nice though, but they have to NOT turn the ball over, and pick up first downs, which would keep the defense fresh and playing fast. Also 2 straight games losing the t.o.p.. The defense basically scored the last 21 points of the 1st half. So very poor offense. The defense will probably keep us in games, but this offense could cause the defense to get tired and could cost UGA a NC.

    GO DAWGS!!!!!

    1. We definitely benefited from Bennett’s legs.
    2. Bennett had several poorly advised (and poorly thrown) passes.
    3. Our defense is L E G I T.
    4. A defense shouldn’t have to make up for an offense.
    5. Our defense made up for our offense’s gaffs. It’s different than making up for the offense.
    6. Bennett played some good ball.
    7. Bennett played some bad ball, too, likely a result of emotion and proving a point (neither of those picked deep passes were even necessary).
    8. Just about nobody has a perfect day.
    9. JT played zero snaps, so saying the point is moot is… flawed… because if things were managed differently, maybe Florida doesn’t score that one TD.
    10. 9 was a hypothetical. Those are irrelevant in legitimate argumentation.
    11. GO DAWGS!! Great game!!

Thankfully, Kirby doesn't take advice from a slimy Michigan eel.

Last thing: Yes, JT has a better record for calls and efficiency with a smaller sample. Not all of Stets’s incompletions/short-yard-passes were on him. SBIV’s legs sure did get us a lot of yards/conversions today.

Yes, I’m anxious for JT to get back in. No, I won’t totally be bummed for Stetson to have moved along.

Wow, that's helpful. I have two degrees: UGA undergrad (went to UM, engineering, finished at UGA) and UGA law school. Anything else you want to share that has actual facts or analysis, or just showing your a**? Right, we already answered that question.

And yet, the fact that UF out gained UGA on offense is not irrelevant. We'll just see.....

If you watched JT in warmups he didn't throw the ball. He just stretched .

Bennett is playing at his ceiling and teams know it, they figured him out last year and are trying to use it this year.

Why are running yards hard to come by? Because teams aren't worried about Bennett beating them with his arm. They're also not afraid of the deep ball because Bennett's arm isn't his strength. No deep threat means less clear out room underneath which means more defenders in close proximity to the line of scrimmage.

All this translates to less stress on the opposing defenses and more stress on our Offense. Bennett can win games against lesser teams and the Defense will keep you in nearly every game until it can't, then we're screwed.
