I know how this is going to sound, but hear me out. I'm not thrilled about the Dawgs having won the division on Saturday.

Let's be real. If we were to find ourselves ever needing Kentucky to lose, it would have meant something had gone horribly, horribly wrong and this whole season would have very abruptly been rendered a bust. I would have much rather seen Kentucky win out, picking up a win for the East against the West along the way, and watch us win the division all the same the following week with a win over Missouri.

(Fun fact: My phone autocorrects "Missouri" to "misfortune")

Yeah, I had kinda mixed feelings about rooting for Kentucky to lose. I mean, it's not like rooting for Bama to lose - that's just fun (on the rare occasions it actually happens).

Oh well, Kentucky will come back and still have an impressive year with a good Bowl game as well.

Until Auburn loses to a&m, then Bama, then not so much.

I was actually pulling for Kentucky to win this past weekend to make our win over them much more impressive. I realize it let us clinch the East, but we still would have accomplished that with a win over either Missouri or UT. If we can’t win one of those games then we don’t belong in the SEC CG. Go Dawgs!!!
