The difference between Richt & Smart? Recruiting. Richt was good but Smart has taken it to an elite level.

Kirby seems to understand the physiological aspects that have such a huge effect on the game. I like how he guides his players and tries to keep them focused and motivated.

Kirby also is becoming a master of the press conference. He uses it to motivate his current players, as well as a recruiting tool. A press conference can be a good thing for the program or it can also be a bad thing. Kirby understands that.

I'm glad to see UGA honoring Coach Richt. It's just a shame the UGA Administration (at the time) didn't give him more support. They finally decided to get serious about giving the necessary support when Smart was hired, and look at the results! Who knows what Richt could've accomplished with that kind of backing?

No surprise, but really decent of Smart to honor Richt with such actions and words. I didn't realize Richt had that kind of influence on Smart... Kirby is saying, in part, that he wouldn't be who he is and where he is had it not been for Richt. That's about as high of praise as one can give/receive. Thanks, both Coach Richt and Coach Smart for being such DGDs. Go Dawgs!
