Saturday was not a good day for the top teams in the country. Previously unbeaten teams Michigan State and Wake Forest both lost. Alabama and Cincinnati found themselves in one-score games, while neither Oregon or Ohio State looked all that impressive in their wins.

Kirby Smart is a master promoter.

Great move in getting Atlanta Braves Joc Pederson and the Atlanta Braves mascot Blooper into Sanford Stadium.

All around good day in Sanford Stadium on Saturday. The noon start and cold weather kept it from being great. Georgia dominated, honored Richt, honored the Braves and had fun with Blooper, then tech and fla lost. Overall, good day to be a Bulldog!! Go Dawgs!!

UGA gets no respect. Any loss and UGA is out of the playoffs. Consequently, if uga beats Bama, it is likely a two-loss Bama makes the playoff.

Not on subject, but it occurs to me that in the third quarter the Dawgs scored every way you can score except a 2 point PAT (and counting the safety same as a TD would have counted).

I certainly don't wish for FU to fire Mullen now. A new coach , before National Signing Day 1, could shake up recruiting for all the Florida HS players. Playing UGA has actually broken 2 teams this year. Clemson and FU absolutely had their soul's crushed after being bullied by UGA. They never recovered. BUT UGA D has not faced a very good level passer yet. Better tighten up some D (pass rush, coverage) before they play AL. Need some guys to step up. Ready to shake up the OL. Salyer to RG, Ericson and SVPG split time at C and Shaeffer(Truss?) to RG. Is McClendon better at RG? Is Mims ready for RT?

Tennessee has momentum, home field, and their up-tempo offense may give UGA problems. Bu then again I was really worried about Clemson, Arkansas, Florida, and maybe one or two others. This season has long-term implications for UGA football. If UGA wins out then it sets up UGA (and Coach Smart) as the new standard in the SEC and the nation (yes, pretty much already there but a National Championship cements it). If Alabama does not make the playoffs then it's possible that a lot of their players skip their bowl game and they have a lackluster bowl performance (and programs will sell recruits on Bama's-time-in-the-limelight-is-passing). Go Dawgs.
