Monken has done a fine job of navigating through all the injuries on offense. It will be interesting to see how they attack the Vol defense.

Monken is lucky that Kirby is willing, if not insistent, to take all of the heat when things don’t go well for the offense. “Kirby doesn’t know how to handle quarterbacks.” “Kirby doesn’t know which quarterback to play.” “Kirby doesn’t know how to run practices.” “Kirby doesn’t know short yardage.” “Kirby doesn’t know how to score TDs in the red zone.” et al! All the while, Monken is left alone to do his job and Kirby wouldn’t have it any other way! That’s a great head coach!
