With absolutely No disrespect to Thomasville and their fans as I know they want to win it all. But I sure hate this for Gunner, speaking as a Dawgs fan. BUT what a great QB and person !! He’s gonna be a Great Dawg !!

As Coach Shaw said.."there's no quit in Gunner Stockton". His last pass attempt in HS shows that. Beaten, bloody, and defeated, Stockton never gave up, and his last pass of the game was a TD. Congrats on a stellar HS Career young man! Looking forward to watching you in Red&Black as a Bulldog..GoDAWGS!

Watched most of the 2nd half of the game on TV. Rabun County was clearly outmanned physically speaking. Basically Rabun County was an all-white undersized team and Thomasville was from what I saw basically an all-black team that looked like all their players could play for UGA.

To Rabun County's credit they were only down by 15 late in the 3rd quarter. Gunner held the ball too long trying to make things happen and there were times when he just needed to get rid of it and fight another down. I will say this he's one tough hombre. They kept knocking him down and he kept getting back up.

Looking forward to seeing him play in Athens. No quit in that young man.

The raw grit of that young man is remarkable. Gunner is what UGA needs..tough, tenacious, a very good QB in the air and with his feet. UGA will provide the defending offense for him to work with. Cannot wait to see how he does. He and Brock Vandagriff should set some college records themselves. What a pair of QBs in UGA's QB room. Future looks bright.

My dad is from Thomasville and played for them in the mid 50s so I cheer for them...but I was rooting for Rabun County last night!

Overall it was a great game marred by too many penalty flags all night long, over 20 were called. High school refs have a tough job.
