Georgia basketball win over No. 18 Memphis ‘needed,’ Tom Crean feels sense of urgency
ATHENS — Tom Crean is not one for hyperbole, but the Georgia basketball coach wasn’t afraid to say what everyone was thinking on Wednesday night.

That was a good win by Tom Crean and his team. Hopefully, this win will be the starting point to bring the program to greatness. I guess the next game and time will let us know.
Great to see us pull off the upset. Way to go, Hoop Dawgs!
I was absolutely shocked. After Wofford, I gave up on the basketball team for the year.
Watched most of the game, was a close game the entire 40 minutes. DAWGS were able to hang on for the Win, against a top 20 team..GoDAWGS!
I hope they can sustain it. Consistency has been the issue (or one of the issues) under Crean. Even when Edwards was here, the team would get a nice victory, and then fall flat the next two or three games. Last night proves that they CAN win against good competition, but they'll still need to keep proving it on the court, night in and night out. If so, then Crean will be able to attract even better talent to Athens and maybe, just maybe, we can get a basketball team that all Dawgs can be proud of.
