I don't mean to be an a-hole, but yeah, it's not too much of a stretch to stay for playoff games and potentially for the NC. I'd be saying complimentary things if we were going to a mid-range bowl or to Shreveport.

I have no ill feelings towards him, but it's no different from those players that decided to not play against Cincy last year. Funny how no one is opting out of the playoffs...

I wish nothing but the best for Dan Lanning, this is an awesome opportunity for him - he is a class act for being willing to stay at Georgia through the playoffs. I hope he and us are rewarded with a Natty!

Any coach that doesn't bolt and run after a hire is my kind of coach.

Coach Lanning staying is reflective of two things:

    1) His character (and don't give me that it's a no-brainer staying for a possible NC when he has loads that he could be/will be doing in Eugene)...He is first-class--always has been.

    2) The fact that he's no dummy. What an opportunity to add to the wealth of knowledge he's accrued during his time in Athens. There is no replacing the actual experience (logistics, etc) of going through the CFP.

One minor note, though: I'm pretty sure the Ducks have lost 3 this season (Stanford and Utah x2).
