JTD did NOT use his "free" transfer to come to UGA. That rule was NOT changed until AFTER JTD was granted his waiver (he sat out 11/12th' s of the previous season due to injury). Unfortunately for UGA fans TWalker is predicted to be a rd 1 pick. He is gone. Nolan Smith COULD improve his draft stock by returning. LCine is probably a 2nd day draft pick. He will probably go pro too. Pickens has done most of his healing/rehab and will be 2nd or 3rd rd pick. He is gone.

I think you may be right about those players. The only way I see Pickens coming back, is if, not being mean, Bennett is not the starting qb. With a qb that has the skill set of "throwing the ball all over the yard", like JT, Brock or Gunner. Nothing against Bennett, and I know Pickens has been hurt this year, but those two never seemed to be on the same page. Minus a throw here or there. JS.

But having Walker and Carter on the d-line next year sure would be sweet.

    GO DAWGS!!!!!

Probably several of the same "experts" who picked Ohio St to win the big10, North Carolina being 1 of the best acc teams in 2021 and Iowa st being in the CFP.. 😂

Not generational? What was it, like week 7 before the points they'd allowed finally surpassed the points they'd scored? I don't know how often that happens but I'd be willing to bet it's no more than once in a generation. And they did it in an era when offenses are collectively pretty much doing whatever they want. The one blemish they had, they still held the Bama offense to almost a touchdown below their season average. The very reason it was so jarring and got so much attention is that this defense had otherwise been the most dominant anyone had seen in a very long time. They bounced back and held Michigan to almost 5 touchdowns below their average (until garbage time anyway) in a playoff game with everything at stake. And with a national championship on the line, Alabama was held to a single touchdown, and we all know the circumstances surrounding that one.

There's no reason not to consider this a generational defense.
