Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Monty Rice was the classic. He signed FA paperwork after "flipping" from UGA to LSU and then surprised all by showing up in Athens on the first day of classes.
You have to list every potential school when completing your FAFSA. Imagine how tough that is for some of these kids who are undecided at that time and are deciding between 10 schools.....
Lust? We know what was driving your college choice
Lol. I only attended Cal State East Bay, but I gotta admit, there were some gorgeous Filipino girls there.
Ahh, the memories........
It’s cool. I addressed my Freudian typo.
Back to bed for BCD. I always wake up in the middle of the night and snack on leg days.
Night fam....
I think EE's would be allowed to sign their LOI after the early signing period and prior to enrolling. They had to sign before NSD back before the ESP existed. Although I guess there could be a new rule that mandates EE's sign LOI's during the ESP.
An EE can't sign a LOI outside of Dec19-21 but he can sign FA papers at any time and the minute he enrolls he is locked in to that institution even without a LOI.
I’m almost 100% certain the FA only locks the school in to the player and not the player to the school. However, the LOI locks both in.
But, the minute they step foot on campus the first day of school, with an FA they are officially bound to the school
I'm thinking the way it would go like this -he sends in his commitment letter on the 19th, but our Coaches agree to not say anything until he announces at the game on the 5th. I would be surprised if there is not a lot of info out there about which place he chose, but I guess no one would officially confirm it until the 5th?
Agreed 100%
Makes sense, thanks for the info
I'm guessing there is no requirement that the university announce those who sign December 19th? If that is true, then he could lock down his spot and still "enjoy" recruiting through January 5th. Is that even OK considering coaches would still recruit him after he signs an LOI? I'm puzzled too.
Right, but the “walls have ears”
