Looking down that list of WR's I see 6 for sure guys that can play. You can supplement those 6 with AGilbert (after a summer of conditioning) and BBowers (after a summer of rehab) with multi snaps/game outside. There would be more benefit/value in adding an experienced CB than an additional WR. Also consider 1) what "quality" wr's are still left in the TP and 2) what quality wr's, left in the TP, are going to come to UGA and its run first O? Are those guys really going to be any better than what UGA already has in house?

The re-addition of AMims not only provides a swing OT for this year's team, depth reps at L and RT, but also sets up 4/5th of next seasons starting line up (Greene, Ratledge, Morris, Mims) . If SVPG comes back to enhance his draft position then the UGA OL will be set and VERY good again next season.

How many more times are Dawg Nation reporters going to falsely report that Beck was named the #2 QB in Fall 2021 preseason practice? That never happened. In fact ESPN did a piece on UGA after the UAB game and that very subject came up.

There was no QB depth chart announced going into the Clemson game. Just a lot of speculation, as usual. The week following that game, Smart announced that Beck was the #2 QB. But, what he didn't say, was that Daniels was benched due to injury and Bennett was the #1 QB. That wouldn't be learned until the UAB game.

Bennett was the #2 going into the Clemson game. A #2 QB doesn't get passed by a #3 in game week practice (UGA vs UAB). There's no time for that. MON is shells, TUE/WED is full pads scrimmage to install game plan, THUR back to shells and FRI, shorts and helmets for walk thru. There's no time for competition to "pass another player on the depth chart". Those decisions are made in preseason and reviewing/grading game footage. That's why it's important to be prepared for the opportunities you get in a game.

That doesn't mean it can't happen if a player doesn't put out in practice or is punished internally. It's highly unusual for it to happen at the QB position, especially after one game...except in case of injury.

I do find it interesting, that Smart went with Daniels against Clemson, even though he was hurt. I'm not sure I buy his claim, that he didn't know Daniels was injured in their final preseason scrimmage until "after" the Clemson game.

Not gonna answer, huh? LOL...Typical fake news crap. When you're wrong, just ignore it, it'll go away. But, never, ever admit an oversight or mistake, unless legally required by law. Journalism 101. Gotcha. LOL
