A Big DawgNation Shoutout to Buck Belue......
and family and an offering of prayers for his son who was involved in a golf cart accident this past weekend. I believe he is doing okay, but I am sure it was scary for the family. Just thinking of you, Buck!

Those golf carts can be dangerous.
My daughter was a passenger in a cart a few years ago driven by a boy and he flipped the cart.
She got some scratches, but it really could have been bad.
Agreed! Not sure of much, but Buck's boy was a passenger and suffered some head injuries after he fell or was thrown (don't really know) from the cart.
Buck has a local ATL sports show on 680 the fan and mentioned the accident on his Monday show. You could tell he was pretty traumatized by the incident. The good news, of course, is that he seems to be okay.
Hate that I waited till today to bring it up--meant to on Monday but things slip by sometimes 😓
Oh, and so very glad that your daughter was not more injured!!!
I think that the first Georgia game that I watched on Television was in '78 or '79 where I think that Jeff Pyburn was the other QB along with Buck. Honestly I can't remember who started that game but I do remember that they both played. I think that they were Baseball teammates as well but I could be wrong about that. Hopefully his son is okay as well as the rest of the family.
I vividly recall the unforgettable classic ’78 UGA/GT game at Sanford when Dooley started Pyburn but strategically inserted the true freshman Belue a few times at just the right moment, including the last minute game winning drive. We all stood yelling in the student section for the entire game. However, despite the glorious historic UGA comeback victory, I also sadly remember how many so-called fans booed Pyburn every time he trotted out to the huddle because Belue was viewed as the future. I remember being so furious knowing that kid had given his blood, sweat, and tears to the red and black, and did not deserve that kind of disrespect. He was a DGD.
As a dad of two sons and a daughter myself, I am so very glad that it sounds like Buck’s son is gonna be okay.
@senorlorenzo It could've been that Tech game but I was maybe 11 or 12 years old but Buck was my first QB and to this day still my favorite Georgia QB of all time and frankly I could care less how many passes he completed, how many TDs he threw or any of that nonsense that people judge him on. He led Georgia to a National Championship. YES, everyone loves Herschel but Georgia would not have won that National Championship without Buck coming up $$$ in the clutch. Facts.
On Jefferson Pilate
Was he kin to Pontius Pilate? On the other hand, what ever happened to Jefferson Pilot?
Not sure what happened to them. Probably still washing their hands trying to figure it out.
