You often hear about "package deals" in recruiting. They rarely end up coming to fruition. This time, with James Smith and Russaw, it appears it will be a case where they both go to the same school. Would love to have both. It seems this young man's preference is to play OLB/DE and rush the passer. UGA's preference seems to be to play him at ILB. Could be a bigger/faster Nakobe Dean or Roquan Smith. ILB may be his best position at the NFL level.
There are a lot of 4* and 5* players currently considering UGA. Would love to have them all. But you can't take them all even with the 25 class limit lifted for 2 years. Especially with UGA having stuffed their previous classes. Will be interesting to watch recruiting all across CFB this season.
The impact on the 25 limit being lifted will have an effect on roster management, turnover and the TP. I do not envy CFB coaches trying to manage their rosters with these major rule changes (NIL, TP, 25+) every year.
