- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Georgia coach Kirby Smart shares how he knows when he’s ‘probably on the wrong kid’ in recruiting
DESTIN, Fla. — Georgia coach Kirby Smart is the first to acknowledge the recruiting game has changed, and in some ways not for the better under the influence of the NIL.

Pretty blunt talk from CKS. But recruiting is time consuming and if this helps to zero in to the recruits that fit the program it is probably good to get this out there early.
Kirby set the UGA guidelines for recruits...are they listening?
For the Vast Majority of these kids, there is No Professional football and the chance to make thousands of dollars is a Big Deal. It can't be the only thing but it's definitely important to most.
CKS-"Dont waste my time and yours. If you just want the highest bidder, I'm not your guy and UGA isn't your team."
Professional sports teams have salary caps, so commonsense would say that the NCAA should do something similar to NIL deals. Limit a player’s NIL deal to one active deal and cap the compensation at say $25,000 per year. This would level the playing field and teams like Texas A & M with a lot of “oil money” can’t entice players to come there simply because of potential high paying NIL deals.
I like his right-headed thinking.
Right recruiting process, to sign right recruits, to focus on right goals, for the right reasons. Now... that's right thinking.
Go Dawgs! Our head coach is Smart 😉
