No denying why average-pod was left off. He was OFF quite a few times including breaking our streak on PATs... Sad sitting there waiting for him to miss. He should've missed a bunch more, I'm not trying to be harsh, but he barely made quite a few of those PATs.

AD Mitchell and Arik Gilbert being on 4th team is ridiculous. Arik Gilbert was the number one tight end coming out of high school...and put up some impressive numbers at LSU. Meanwhile, AD Mitchell's performance was nothing less than spectacular all of last year, and especially the key TD against Bama in the National Championship.

Yeah, I think we're going to have to get used to individual players being undervalued in these lists. I'm getting the impression that it comes with the territory of being a team that truly identifies as a team, where collective success is prioritized over individual recognition.

@MikeGriffith, UGA "had five first-team All-SEC selections, a mark bettered only by the Tide (seven)."

That should tell you everything you need to know about this so-called "poll". LOL

BAMA has 1 player on offense worthy of 1st team consideration...Bryce Young.

Their offensive line is so suspect, Saban had to raid Vanderbilt's o-line through the TP after Spring practice, just to give Young some hope of protection going into the Fall. The 1st string o-line was so porous during their Spring Game, Saban had to take their best defensive players out or hamstring em, to allow Young time to throw and move the ball. It was embarrassing.

As for the WR room...they were so inept in the CFP, that Saban threw every one of them under the bus, just 1 month after their loss to UGA in the Natty. Their best hope at WR appears to be one of UGA's former 1st/2nd tier WR's...Burton. He's reliable, but, not a game breaker. Kearis Jackson and AD Mitchell are much better. They have a good TE, but, not in the same league as 2-3 of UGA's TE's.

They're thin at RB, especially after B-Rob's departure. I'd take UGA's backfield over theirs, any day of the week.

So, BAMA's got 1 offensive player that rates 1st team consideration...does that mean, they have 6 defensive players on the 1st team roster? LOL Honestly, I don't get these predictable "lists". They base their predictions entirely on a "team's" past performance and push players onto the 1st team that have no business there, while robbing more deserving un-hyped players, such as Dumas-Johnson, Brinson,, Stackhouse, Tykee Smith, VanPran, Bennett or Mitchell. If they can project for BAMA...they can project for UGA. The talent levels are roughly equal, if you believe recruiting ranks. BAMA's best player, Will Anderson, wasn't even offered a scholarship by UGA, even though that's where he wanted to play. LOL

As for Bennett, he would be my 2nd team pick...only because you have to respect the Heisman, although, I'm rapidly losing respect for those National Awards.

Seems, with Bennett, they look for reasons why he shouldn't be there...with all the other QBs, they look for reasons why they should be there. I think there is a faulty assumption, that Bennett has reached his ceiling and what you see, is what you get. I, personally, don't see that. I think he has a lot of tools he's just getting comfortable with, in Monkin's offense.

If he's able to put it all together before the season starts and improve his accuracy in bootleg & evasion throws...2022 is going to be something special for Mr. Bennett. And, as for the bootleg & evasion throws...his receivers have to get better at giving him a target to throw to, when he's under duress. I.e., break off their route and adlib a little bit, come back to the QB if you're on an out or sideline route, don't stop short on a crossing route (as Bowers did in the SECCG INT). These are QB/WR communication issues. Unlike the past 2 years, Bennett will have the opportunity as #1 QB, to build a rapport and a harmony with all of the receivers...much like Daniels did last year. Bowers and McConkey weren't on that list of players to join Daniels in Cali...they worked with Bennett back home. That's why they were so successful when Bennett took over the offense. Bennett had built a rapport with those guys. The encouraging thing is, he also built a rapport with K. Jackson and K. McIntosh when he was running the offense in the 1st half of the 2020 season. He's ready to breakout this season, with all the pieces in place.

So, yeah...Bennett is definitely my 2nd team choice and could make an argument for 1st team. That's putting aside all the hype and anti-hype from the media, fans and the like. Just based on what I see with my own 2 eyes and knowing how it works in the locker room. The kid's a leader and a winner, with talent all around him.
