You guys know that Gilbert was one of the best defenders on that Marietta HS team which won the GA State Championship. Washington was considered a great OT prospect and Bowers also played RB for his HS team. There are plenty of creative ways to get these incredibly talented and athletically gifted players into as many snaps as CKS wants.

Not saying we would use it, but would a formation with E T G C G T E on the O line, QB either under center, in shotgun or pistol, and a 4-receiver diamond bunch formation off the line either right or left be legal? Conceivably, both ends on the line and all four receivers in the diamond bunch could be tight ends, which would put all six of our tight ends on the field at the same time.

Grady, that would be awesome, but we only get to field 11 players.😉

I would expect the TE's to find some additional snaps on ST BUT Washington has had difficulty staying healthy (w/o ST), Gilbert is poised for a break out year to spring board into the NFL and Bowers 1) will play O a LOT and 2) is too valuable to risk on ST's. The ST snaps will mostly come from Seither and Goede. I could see any TE as blockers on the kickoff return team. Other than that the top 3 TE's are just too valuable to risk on ST

IMO...UGA will redefine the Tight End position, this year. The only requirement for an offense, is to line 7 players up on the line of scrimmage and 4 in the backfield or 1 step off the line of scrimmage.

They could easily line up 4 TE's and a WR by putting 2 TE's on the LOS with a WR and 2 TE's off the LOS alternating the alignment using WR's and RB's with 2, 3 or 4 TE's. A 3 or 4 TE alignment with a RB would be highly effective in the Red-Zone.

UGA's TE's, which includes Oscar Delp, are just as talented and capable as most RB's or WR's. You can label them TE's, but the way UGA employs them will vary. This year, you will see a true Air-Raid style offense, but it won't be an orthodox brand. It's stimulating to imagine the possibilities. To have an athletic TE group with the size of a lineman, that can perform like a RB or WR.
