- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Georgia football in-state recruiting isn’t struggling, it’s reverting back to its pre-pandemic ways

    I'm with you Fishing Dawg

WHy a kid would want ot go out of state and play for another program is a mystery to me. I never had the size to play anything other than backyard ball wth my buddies but I grew up bleeding red and black, and if I would of had the size, I would have gone to UGA. I hated the other teams. THere was real rilvary back in the day.

Today these kids go to all the camps and 7 on 7's and take all these visits, and they have friends they meet from other states that are going elsewhere and every coaching staff treats them like kings, and it's all good. There is the mass comunication aspect of it all too which plays a big role I believe. KIds aren't seperated into geographical pockets any longer without the ability to reach out to a friend elsewhere or a coach blowing them up with text messages or face time. You're as close as your smart phone. However, it (IMHO) diminishes the "us against them attitude".

It's more like a business decision today or a friend decision. A lot less like love of state school.

Dell McGee seems to be struggling. Two huge losses to AL. Why?
