I don't know. First off, if you go by Rivals the Gators have 3 top 100 recruits plus an RB who is 104. The main difference is that in 4 seasons Mullen never signed more than 25 in a class and that was with him clearly "settling" on a few kids. When Gator fans began complaining Mullen started publicly stating that "just maybe" getting kids from the portal was better than signing them out of high school anyway. So for Florida to have 20 kids by mid-August is well beyond anything Mullen ever did. What if Napier signs several more 4 stars that are "not top 100, maybe top 250" plus some 3 stars that South Carolina, Kentucky and Arkansas are trying their level best to get to wind up with 30 quality kids?

Don't laugh. Dabo Swinney signed a 29 player class in 2011 that was mostly 3 star kids. A bunch of those 3 star kids wound up playing on Sundays and 4 years later Clemson was in the title game against Alabama. And do you know who spent a few years as one of Swinney's top recruiters? Billy Napier.
