- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Have said very little about freshman all off season. Freshman producing and contributing heavily can't and should not be expected. You never know. You hope but stories like Brock Bowers and Andrew Thomas are very few and far between.
That being said. Starks showing what he did in game 1 shows a lot of promise that he (and maybe some other fr/young DB's) can develop into significant consistent contributors by Nov-Dec.
Add that to Tyke Smith rounding into form and the ceiling for this D is very high.
I guess it's human nature to not be able to build up that adrenaline and energy after celebrating a huge win against a tough program and knowing that you have a cupcake this week. I'm glad to hear that Smart is continuing to push them though.
Since I couldn't comment (update your database already guys, geez - I'll do it for you if you give me access) on the Bennett NFL article, I wanted to give my 2 cents (about how much my opinion is worth LOL). I keep going back to the Aaron Murray for Stafford comparison. Murray had literal record-breaking numbers, played 4 years and got drafted in 5th round and basically was never given a chance. Like, Signed on Practice Squads and released one week later. Stafford was good (but not incredible) for Georgia, got selected #1 and has had a huge career.
I think Bennett is one of those excellent "college level" players that doesn't relate to either what NFL coaches want, nor need. He is the best short-range, slant and middle throw guys in all of college football but would that really work in the NFL? I'm not even sure it works against a college level team that is able to defend against his favorite throws. He doesn't have the "cannon" like JT did (as well as maybe Beck and certainly Vandagriff and Stockton likely do) and he can't hit those picture-perfect-NFL-throws. He is best when you design the offense around him and his skills - you can't just put him into a deep passing formation and expect him to succeed.
