Kirby Smart ‘hopeful’ about Adonai Mitchell, says freshman Daylen Everette ‘needs to play’

“Again, we are hopeful that AD is able to go,” Smart said. “Hopeful in that he can recover to the point where he can help us.” To what point? Strange response. 75%-95%? Just wondering. I would be sure he is 100%. Ankles are fragile.
Your right to question. It was/is kind of a mysterious response from KS. I guess he’s just keeping SC guessing. The good thing though as you know, is Ron Courson is pretty protective of the players. I’m not saying Kirby would try to pressure him into allowing Mitchell to play if it would put him in jeopardy, but from all I’ve heard about Courson Even if Kirby did pressure him it wouldn’t do any good. I’ve heard many times that Courson errs to the side of No play if there’s any question at all of placing a player in further jeopardy. I don’t Know that as fact mind you, just saying of read that many times over the years coming from different sources. I’m no medical pro by a long shot, but I’m like You, if there’s Any doubt I say hold him out. Dawgs should be able to beat SC without him. Gonna Need Mitchell much more for games down the road !! Go Dawgs !!
AD is good to go, the question is do we really need him other than a distraction. The focus will be on the O-line and the RB's to at least rack up the 250 yds SC ia allowing. We will continue to pass to the RB's and opportunistically spread the ball around to open WR's and TE's. Another focus will be for SBIV to make quicker decisions and when it's time to scat.....run north and south rather than juke and jive. We will more than cover the spread without embarrassing SC.
