    Not surprised...I guessed he would be....UGA's best player. NCAA football's best player, not just SEC. UGA even used him as an RB against SC. That speaks volumes to me. He is a genuine phenom.

    Let's see ...

    Roquan Smith's senior year was a tour de force, but he wasn't nearly as phenomenal as Bowers was as a freshman. Although he wasn't recruited by Kirby, Smith played two years for him.

    Andrew Thomas was pretty dominant for all three years at tackle, but he wasn't as much of a standout for his position as either Smith or Bowers.

    So, yeah. So far at least, I'd say Bowers is on track to get the Best Yet to Play for Kirby's Dogs Award.

    Except, I hope that by the end of the year, we'll be saying the same thing about Malaki Starks!

    Until this past Saturday, I had been yelling why isn't Bowers getting the ball more. He is UGA's best receiver.
