Would’ve preferred TCU because OSU is more talented. One of the worst conferences in college football get 2 teams in - that is absolutely ridiculous and they should have to play each other first given how bad the conference was. Their championship game featured a team that lost 4 games and had no good wins at all. Oh well, that is the problem with people voting and their biases playing in

I like this matchup a lot. The Dawgs have played exceptionally well this year against the high octane offenses that feature a dynamic quarterback. There’s so much talent on both sides of the ball for the Dawgs, and all now have some valuable playing time under their belt. There was a lot of talk about who the Dawgs would rather matchup with prior to the announcement, but I guarantee you none of the other 4 teams (I’ve included Alabama) were listing Georgia as there preferred semifinal opponent.

    GO DAWGS!

Being the weaker of the two teams, I would have preferred playing TCU. That is usually the reward for being the number one team. However, beating two Big Ten schools (I believe Michigan will win) will be sweet solace for having to play Ohio State rather than TCU, for we are destined to repeat!!! GO DAWGS!!!

All right, fine. Name the conferences better than the Big 10 and why you believe this to be so. You are going to say the SEC, but the SEC West "champion" has 4 losses, one of them to FSU. The Alabama team that everyone is raving over has no wins better than 8-4 Mississippi State, and needed referee help to beat 8-4 Texas and 5-7 Texas A&M teams playing backup QBs. Tennessee won 10 games, but is in the 2nd year of a massive rebuilding project and runs gimmick schemes. Bottom line: this is the worst the SEC has been since at least 2010.

Still better than the Big 10 this year, granted. But I would like to know which conference is #2 to the SEC if not them. The ACC? Get real. Their champion got crushed by Notre Dame. The Pac-12? Nope. Their champion lost to 6-6 Florida. The Big 12? Nah. TCU is #3. Kansas State is #11. Texas is #21. So 3 ranked teams.

The SEC would have had 2 teams in had Tennessee not gotten blown out 63-38 by SOUTH CAROLINA. But you know why Tennessee got destroyed by an 8-4 team that was humiliated by 6-6 Arkansas, 6-6 Florida and (of course) UGA? Simple: Tennessee isn't that good. Ohio State has better players at just about every position. Alabama? Same. They lost to an LSU team that UGA could have beaten by 40 points if they wanted because they are trying to run a wco spread offense with bad WRs and a 3-4 defense with pedestrian DTs and ILBs.

Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State are talented teams (unlike Tennessee) whose coaches got the most out of them as they possibly could (unlike Alabama). That is why they only lost to each other. Penn State only lost to Ohio State and Michigan. Ohio State only lost to Michigan. And Michigan lost to no one. Sorry, but having 3 teams who only lose to each other gets 2 teams into the playoffs most years. And don't be shocked if Penn State beats Utah in the Rose Bowl and when Michigan beats TCU. Of course UGA will beat Michigan, but no one was going to beat UGA, the most talented team in the game, this year anyway. When that happens, the Big 10 will have accomplished more this year than any other conference. Including the SEC, which this year really is UGA and everybody else.
