Moving forward the many mistakes we made in the SECCG will serve us well much like losing to Alabama in the same game did last season.

That said, it is a very big deal to beat one of our huge foes, LSU. It's huge to be undefeated at the end of the regular season. It's huge to be the SEC Champions. There is zero doubt about who the number one team in the nation is, but we have to prove it on the field of play.

Ohio State's coach is on television right this moment saying THE was not in control of their destiny but now they are. They're back in control of their destiny thanks to nothing they did of course. In my opinion, that sücks, but not as bad as it would have had Alabama slinked in. Alabama shouldn't be ranked ahead of Tennessee.

I am so looking forward to the playoffs and the other bowl games, but mostly I'm celebrating what has already been a remarkable season for our Dawgs.

    Go, Dawgs!

I acknowledged the mistakes in the second half yesterday and I voiced my displeasure at them accordingly. That includes the half-a55ed exchange that SB made which resulted in a turnover where LSU easily scored a TD 3 plays later that @BillKing conveniently left out of this write-up. The end result of that turnover was at best a 10 point swing in LSU’s favor and at worst a 14 point swing in their favor. That sequence of events with the turnover by Bennet and resulting in an opposing team’s score very quickly has happened several times this season. However, one positive thing I take from it is that last night it only happened once instead of multiple times. I hate silly turnovers because they always seem to lead to more than just a momentum swing against our Dawgs.

Now that a day has passed and I vented my frustration at the lack of focus and execution of not only the secondary but also of SB in the aforementioned play, I am over it. It is hard to play with a 25 point lead for a half and I have seen that type of thing play out that way dozens of times before over the last 3+ decades. I never had a fear that the lousy Falcons choking away their 28-3 lead would repeat itself yesterday for our Dawgs even though the point lead was EXACTLY the same and there was much more time left on the clock.

What this team did yesterday and throughout this 12 and 0 regular season is remarkable and I praise both SB and this young defense for stepping up when it had to. I also praise Monken for re-instilling faith in his play-calling yesterday and the players in executing it because, to be Frank and I KNOW I am not alone with this thought, the play calling and strategy on offense the last 3 games has been below average and bordering on terrible. I was beginning to think that 1st and stup1d Bobo was allowed to creep into the OC room and influence them with his atrocious play-calling philosophy.

I have 150% full faith that Coach Smart and his staff will correct the errors in the secondary and get Ringo and others back on the right track as well as mentally focused to destroy OSU and also whomever they face on January 9th.

This has been quite a ride the last several years and I am very proud to be a Dawg fan. This years team has brought me a lot of joy and I can’t wait to see how the playoffs work out!

What a game and How 'bout them Dawgs! There were at least 4 of the most unusual plays I've seen in many years of following Georgia, not necessarily in chronological order:

    1) our own version of [Blocked!] Kick Six

    2) Sack of Flour [Daniels picked up by Carter]

    3) Hard Headed Interception [ball bouncing off the LSU player's helmet, inches off the turf]

    4) Nothing to See Here Fumble [Milton turns around sees the ball on the turf and keeps running momentarily, while Bennett makes an illegal block to give, ostensibly, one of our guys a chance to get the ball. Not happening. The one bad play of the 4]

And then random defensive break downs that were fortunately not fatal. And an offense that at times seemed unstoppable. That's what we love to see. As a result, it was nice to hit the half century scoring mark.

Now we wait for Ohio State. We should not underestimate them and I know Kirby won't and will have the Dawgs ready to go on New Year's Eve!
