Everyone can complain about Stetson being a Heisman candidate, but tell them to look at the game against Missouri. The defense was not playing well and the offense was playing from behind. Stetson made some key throws during that comeback. Also, I do not know how McIntosh did not make the All-First Team or Second Team on offense. Carter should have been a finalist on someone's list. People had a lot of opinions of Georgia, but I don't think they actually to the time to watch the film on Georgia. What about McConkey's performance during the season?

Carter should be a shoo-in for the Outland Trophy award!

So very destructive to opposing offensive lines , RBs and QBs. His play on the LSU QB made me laugh right out loud….never seen anything like it before!

And he does it with such strength and with one of the quickest first moves for such a big man that I have ever seen!

Would be sweet if he made it two in a row as far as being the first pick in the draft, like Travon!

Truly a complete player and a DGD!

There were many who said he was the best player on last year's team, too. Few argued otherwise.

Mostly I just want him to be great, and his teammates to be great, when we next visit Atlanta.

One play at a time, guys.

    Go, Dawgs!

My goodness man, you have got to start proofreading your articles before you post them!

It is inundated with incorrect words and errors! It reads like storybook hour for 6 to 10 year olds.

You can do better than this. It’s painful to read when every sentence you are forced to pause and figure out which correct word needs to be placed into your error-filled sentences.

He's the only defensive lineman that I could watch every play and just focus on him. That said, while the most talented, injuries have kept him off the field for several games. Brock Bowers is the stick that stirs the drink. Whenever you need a big play , whenever the offense is dragging , whenever you need a 1st down, or a 3rd and 2 from the goal-line and you can't run it in, just throw it to him, please!

    @GaBoi69

    Again with this.

    1. On McIntosh, do you want everyone who is #13 in rushing yards (despite playing in more games than all of the RBs ahead of him) to be an All-SEC tailback? Or just those who play for UGA?
    2. Yes, we saw Stetson Bennett lead the most talented team in the country by a mile to a 4 point comeback victory over a 6-6 Missouri that had to beat 6-6 Arkansas and 5-7 Vanderbilt by a combined 5 points to reach bowl eligibility. Instead of seeing that as a "Heisman moment" most folks figure that one of the other candidates - and guys that didn't go to New York at all - would have beaten Missouri by a much bigger margin.

Look, Kirby Smart and Todd Monken chose the "team" approach for this UGA squad. That meant playing a QB who has below average arm strength by P5 standards, and especially by SEC standards. This in turn meant a lot of guys - Bowers, Washington, McIntosh, Milton, Blaylock, Jackson - sacrificing personal statistics that is going to cost them when it comes to individual awards and NFL draft prospects. Great for the UGA players that bought in and the fans who get to revel in the wins. But don't expect anyone else to make SB IV out to be anything more than what he is, or for other UGA players to get accolades over guys who are just as talented that have 2-4 times their numbers.

I don't know whether Dawgnation was clickbaiting when they claimed that a tailback who has 700 rushing yards in 13 games "should have been second team All-SEC", especially considering he is also only #17 in yards per carry (despite all the future NFL players on the OL, UGA RBs aren't doing great in that metric in the SB IV era because the passing game is no threat to stretch the field either vertically or horizontally). Just imagine how you would feel if your team had an RB with twice as many rushing yards get left off the All-SEC team in favor of McIntosh.

Jalen Carter......more serious than a massive coronary in a five alarm fire, more fun than a box of whoopie cushions at a old ladies Red Hat Convention......Jalen IS THE ULTIMATE AWARD!

"Earlier this year, a couple of Missouri players tried to pick a fight with Carter simply because Carter was walking a lap around the field."

Pretty sure he walked right through the middle of Mizzou's pre-game warmups and was not walking a lap around the field. He was definitely the instigator in that and shouldn't have done it.

With that said, he is the best talent I've seen at UGA since Freddie Gilbert, there have been none like him (power, speed, strength, size and athleticism. Have seen comparisons to Ndamukong Suh, which is a good one imo.....he just is not the dirty player that he was.

He will be a top five pick for sure.....maybe even higher.

The Dawgs are blessed to have him.

From what I can tell, he's fifth in all-purpose yards for SEC RBs.

Sanders, Achane, Judkins, Gibbs, McIntosh. I agree it's tough and he should be left off, but looking just at rushing yards and not total contribution is stoopid (they censored st-u-pid???). The horror!

In regards to Bennett, he has been off a bit this year, but his yardage and TD are for the most part accumulated in very limited game time/opportunity. In more than a few games he was either not passing in the second half (large leads) or sitting on the bench watching Beck and Vandagriff getting reps. His numbers are hard to quantify because of this, but I will accept the opinion of Heisman voters (which includes former winners). Who doesn't belong in NYC, based on what the Heisman criteria is, would be Caleb Williams. Replace him with one (4) or two (5) of Corum, Hooker, or Young and you have a better group.

    The 'Wow' factor....

Yes there are RBs with much more pure rushing yds. than KMac. And there’s probably some with more All Purpose yds. as well. But KMac has been Huge to the UGA Offense. So strictly looking at the SEC not all college football, YES he absolutely deserves a spot on the All SEC second team. And as numerous, numerous College & Pro teams are and Have Been for quite some time now been using RBs in such dual roles In very confident that KMac will do very well in the NFL draft. No I can’t say with in exact confidence what round he’ll be picked in and Neither Can You. Just like with your Absolute Insult of James Cook where you stated the ONLY reason he got as high as second round was his being Calvin’s brother. Legacies are quite common in College but Pro teams don’t fork out millions of $$$ on legacies with tight salary caps in place. I haven’t went back and got comparisons on Both but there’s a very real possibility that KMac might have More yards than Cook as a dual purpose RB. The ultimate goal is to score TDs and Win the game, not necessarily rack up a bunch of yds for stats and Not win the game. KMac has played a Big role in helping the Dawgs be where they are. NFL scouts will Easily see that and not be blinded by the personal Bias you have. Also Numerous blue chip RBs Will Want to come to UGA as They Know that being used in a dual role More Often than the pure Run Only RBs that less and less schools are starting to go with only gives them More opportunities to showcase their skills. So in conclusion while looking at All college football there are probably quite a few with more yds. Rushing and even quite a few in a All Purpose role, when confined to the SEC Only And being Realistic to the contribution he’s made to the UGA Offense Yes he deserves a place on the SEC second team. Oh and as for the “sacrificing his career for the team” NFL scout dearly LOVE players with great character traits like that !! Means less potential for liability problems Off the field at least in most cases. Your a strange bird !! You TRY to pass yourself off as merely being objective. So you’ll throw a few, most of the time tepid compliments out about UGA and it’s players as individuals then many times in the Same Thread proceed to absolutely butcher the Same player !! For instance with Stetson you made some very weak comments almost like you were holding up a white flag about why he should get an invite to the Heisman banquet as a finalist only to turn around on the Same thread and make Terrible Bashing comments about him !! Like he shouldn’t be the QB for a Pee Wee team or something !! I think you get your kicks by trying to create chaos and division among Dawgs fans. I thought there for a Brief period of time that you’d See and Recognize that this is after all a Dawgs fans site. And that fans is a short for Fanatics. So I guess you think that Dawgs fans would lobby Against their own team and players ??!!?? EVEN if another player has better stats than a player for UGA do you honestly think that DAWGS fans are gonna come out in force to lobby for another player Against their own team they are Rabid fans of and Proud to be such ?? Look for Years and Years we had TN thrown up in our faces along with UF then Bama and you could sprinkle in some Auburn with that. NOW since Kirby has got the Dawgs up to a Championship level You want to come in and water down our chest thumping that we Waited for so long ?? Lol I guess you can Try !! You’ll have a few who want to have the objective appearance. But the vast majority of us are Celebrating the Long Awaited success at the highest levels. And I think I can say that Most of us don’t appreciate very much your coming here to a Dawgs site telling us how we should really be cheering for a player from Another team Over and Above one of our Dawgs. That statement you made about James Cook getting as high as the second round ONLY because he’s Calvin’s brother told me all I need to know on you. What an absolute and utter show of Disrespect for James and His body of work while at UGA !!! I guess all of us DAWGS fans should have paused to heap praises on Calvin and say that James was only a so-so player ?? Nope, NO WAY !!! To many of us Remember how like KMac now, James was Huge in the Dawgs success. So before you post another one of your caustic comments would you please take a moment to Look at the banner at the top of this site where it says DawgNation ?? It might clarify things for you some.

Your right !! Agree !! And the haters are gonna hate. Dawgs fans waited a Long, Long time to Finally reach the top levels of success and the haters, well they Hate it Lol !! I Remember Vols fans with Peyton Manning mocking us, I was starting to wonder would we ever have sustained success vs UF, then along came Bama, you could easily sprinkle in Auburn with that, heck in My time even GT was a yearly challenge !! NOW we’ve Finally got some chest thumping rights and some cause for celebration on a sustained basis and we’re supposed to quietly fade away ?? NOT !! NO WAY !! We Dawgs fans are Loud and Proud !!! Proud of Kirby Smart and the Coaching Staff !! Proud of big Jalen Carter !! Proud of Kenny Mac !! Proud of Stetson !! Proud of ALL our Dawgs !! I don’t remember any teams forfeiting the games, so our Dawgs WON them one by one !! And fixing to Win Another One on Dec. 31 !!! And then Win the Big One !! Go Dawgs !!!
