I Graduated from Ohio State Two Weekends Ago

I haven't really posted here much, but I thought you guys might enjoy my experience as a Dawg fan attending Ohio State and how I'm constantly repping the Dawgs. Well, I FINALLY graduated as a 36 year old college student, and I couldn't waste the opportunity to rep the Dawgs in a big way one last time before I left OSU. So, I bought some UGA stickers and put them all over my mortar board. I also encouraged my family that drove up from GA to wear their UGA gear and they DID NOT disappoint! They were continuously yelling Go Dawgs and I LOVED IT haha! Maybe I'll get my MBA from UGA one day...

Side Note: the wife's family are all Buckeyes and didn't enjoy this display as much though they are used to it by now! In my wedding vows I told my wife I'd be her biggest fan at all times...except if UGA and OSU ever play...got a big laugh from the guests...that will be put to the test 5 years later!

Dude, first, congrats on getting that degree! I too went back a bit later and graduated from a non-UGA school, Ga Southern, after having actually attended UGA previously 79-80. But when those two schools play it’s all Woof! Woof! Woof!, because at the end of the day that degree is just a piece of paper! I bleed red and black!

Secondly, everything already said about ophthalmologists and out kicking your coverage. Welcome to that club! I’m its president.

And finally, you and your family have earned lifetime DGD status for repping the Power G in epic and timely fashion!

Oh, and yes, please start posting more!!!!

Well done. I too graduated from college in my 30's (at the age of 33) in 1986. From Northern Illinois.

And 5 months after the Monsters of the Midway ( Da Bears) won the Super Bowl. Iron Mike Singletary, Refrigerator William Perry, and Wilbur Marshall became household names and were crucial parts of an historic defense. It was a glorious time.

I dont remember if there were any other Georgia players, but that team was loaded with players from Southern schools: William Perry from Clemson, Wilbur Marshall from UF, Dan Hampton from Arkansas, Iron Mike Singletary from Baylor, and Steve McMichael (nicknamed Mongo) from the University of Texas. Oh yeah, I almost forgot the SB MVP, Richard Dent from Tennessee.

Correction: Richard Dent played college ball at Tennessee State. Willie Gault, another member of the '85 Bears and one of the fastest players of all time, played for Tennessee.

And lest we forget, the great Walter Payton from Jackson State.
