All right. Hear me out. Let us say UGA beats TCU.

    1. They will be the first team to repeat in the playoff era. Not even 2011-2012 Alabama had to beat 2 straight top 5 teams in consecutive years. Instead one year they beat Notre Dame for the title and the next they had a rematch against an LSU team with no passing game.
    2. Stetson Bennett IV will have a 5-1 postseason record, with the only loss being to #2 Alabama (that was reversed that same season) and being statistically dominant in those games.

That would make ... this current UGA the best college football team of all time in terms of accomplishments.

It would make Stetson Bennett IV the best postseason QB of all time.

Anyone who disagrees, tell me why. (And I am not a UGA fan so this is not homer rah rah stuff. Prior to this UGA squad, the best team I ever saw was 1994-1995 Nebraska. And to win their national titles they beat a very overrated Miami Hurricanes team, and a Florida Gators squad that had Ron Zook - remember him? - as defensive coordinator. The Big 8 - a very weak conference to begin with, it was just them, Colorado and a decent Kansas State - also had no conference championship game).

This UGA team has accomplished the most against the toughest path. With Stetson Bennett IV having huge games leading the way.

The dawgs will hopefully hit TCU hard and fast, not taking anything for granted - both on offense and defense - we need badly to get ahead and then hit the gas. So proud of our dawgs and the way they kept fighting to stay in the game against tOSU. Now, it's time to prove what great recruiting, talent and coaching can do. Practice hard this week so that game time is easy! GO DAWGS!!

Let's just make up fake awards to give to Stets now. The " Best Postseason QB Ever Even Though Conference Title Games Have Only Been Around 30 years and Playoffs Only 10 So You Only Had 1 Posrseason Game To Play Fot The First 100 Years of College Football " goes to SB4. Congrats for being a decent player riding the coattails of an elite team. 🏆

The "Broken Record" Award goes to Kirby Smart For Saying His QB Needs To Play Better Every Game Over And Over For The Past Three Seasons 🏆

I’m just amazed that folks believe Kirby makes decisions without concern over winning. I believe he feels Bennett gives them the best shot at winning and he has been borne out as spot on. Bennett has areas to clean up and Kirby holds him accountable and thank goodness for that. Not sure what you feel the option is - bench him? If Kirby felt that was the best thing, i believe he would do it. UGA has a true team and all parts contribute to the whole - no one is stronger or better than the other and that is what makes UGA such a tough team. Regardless of the argument against Bennett being the best QB in these clutch games, he certainly answers the bell and delivers results. Great coaching and great results. Go DAWGS
