- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

The gave this game away early on walks and burning through their bullpen. 3-1 for the weekend isn’t terrible.
Yeah, them facilities……
The Ladies earned the #7 seed. Here is how they did against Auburn earlier this year:
Great story. Dawgs won both the 400 and 800 at the SEC meet. Got a 2nd from Matthew Bolling in the 200. Need more depth but I think the new coach is working at it.
Oh my....
Hadn't heard that...so glad he appears to be doing okay and seems to have fully recovered!
Go Dawgs!
As a track guy, how do you think we will compete at indoor and outdoor nationals?
Not sure. We seem to lack depth but have several athletes capable of winning an event. At nationals, a few big event wins can do it. But it is always best to have some depth -a ton of 2-6 place finishes can make up for an opponent's event win in a hurry. I think our field event stuff has suffered a bit with the coaching change. I haven't studied the roster at all. We may have some good youngsters that will perform in the future.
The issue is the inconsistent hitting. Furd pitchers kept the ball inside and left UGA struggling. This weekend, the inside pitches were once again a problem. So much mental. I think with 70% of the offense returning and a lot of press about the team bats, the pressure was there.
Disappointing for Walters to pitch an outstanding game and then not get offensive support from her teammates.
This right here is a HUGE start in gaining depth and being able to compete with A&M, Arkansas, Florida, and the other top programs.

Coach is VERY intentional and it matters. Check the reactions....

As much success as she had before coming to UGA, it shows. Intentional ? Indeed. That's an awesome looking facility and would be especially impressive to track kids who are mostly used to having to "do without". I think it shows UGA is serious about getting it done on the track. Will be fun to watch the improvement that follows this.
The ladies run riled the bugs!
Ladies move on to the SEC Quarterfinals!
