SMH...Lol...the "Neverending Story" of mediocre "UGA Baseball & Basketball".

"UGA lacks competitive facilities and does not waive out-of-state tuition for recruits like other SEC rival programs." That tells me alot. UGA says economic reasons have postponed any facilities upgrades. Really? Josh Brooks is saying that? Other than football, UGA is not resourcing anything. Maybe swimming and tennis, possibly golf. In my UGA days, at least golf and sometimes basketball were lime-lighted besides football, which has always been king.

Georgia recently announced that the completion of upgraded and renovated facilties would be delayed yet another year because of economic challenges.

I call bullcrap on this! You would certainly think they'd have enough money to upgrade those facilities. I'm not buying that at all. Football has brought in loads of cash these last few years that should be able to help fund this. I know there are other major expenses, but come on. Are we this strapped for cash at The University of Georgia? Maybe they just aren't in a hurry to upgrade the baseball facilities, which is a shame, if so.

And that was a bad loss today, but it's not the end of the world. Hopefully we get it going and will be a fun team to watch this year. Love my Dawgs baseball.

    GO DAWGS!

So tired of this story; more like a recurring nightmare. With all the money there is in the athletic department one would think the facilities would be better than they are. Baseball and basketball are pitiful and you may as well quit firing coaches (not that the ones now or previous have been great) until the university is committed to success. Pushed back a year - what a joke. Why is there no pressure on the AD to correct this? Winning in football is great but it kind of loses a bit of shine when you absolutely s*u*c*k in other sports.

Okay, it's only one game in a long season, but it feels like a continuation of the same problems that plagued last year's team. Jaden Woods serving up monster home run balls, walks, hit batters, endless self-inflicted wounds. Is it just me, or does Coach Stricklin feel like Mark Richt at the end of his tenure? Good guy, fierce competitor, knows the game, says all the right stuff................... but nothing seems to change and the results are always underwhelming. I'm not waiving the white flag on the season after a bad game with a jet stream blowing out of Foley, but Coach really needs to turn this around or something has to give.

The mediocre results from baseball, men's basketball and now to a certain extent women's basketball and softball is a direct reflection on our past Athletic Director and is now being ignored or at least put aside in the same way by our new one. In football the motto is you got to spend money to make money. The same thing should apply to the so called minor sports. Build it and they will come. Athens is close by to the hotbed Atlanta baseball and basketball recruiting hot beds. Houston County has great baseball players generally going to some other state to play. Nothing is more new and exciting than a super regional at home in softball and baseball. People love it.

If more people would call in to talk shows, like The Paul Finbaum Show" and "Dawg Nation podcast", and expressed their displeasure with the UGA basketball & baseball programs...it would indirectly apply pressure to UGA Administrators.

"Demand & Supply"...or, supply and demand, if you'd rather. Lol
